Visitors to booth 634 can learn about Empire’s new technology center and expanded optics capabilities.

Join us at the 2017 SPIE Photonics West exhibition, Jan. 31-Feb. 2 in San Francisco, where we'll be discussing our optical design, fabrication and assembly capabilities.

Empire Precision manufactures lenses and systems for a wide range of military, medical, commercial and consumer applications, including LED lighting systems, imaging, scanning and detection. Our optical engineers have experience incorporating various optical elements, such as aspheres, into systems to achieve exceptional performance and value. Our new technology center serves as an “idea factory” for collaborative R&D. We work directly with customers’ engineering teams from concept through high volume production to develop new and innovative products.

“With our expert engineering support, precise scientific molding processes and high volume production capabilities, Empire’s customers can achieve lower cost and faster time to market for their products,” said Neal Elli, president of Empire Precision Plastics.

Empire offers a variety of in-house optical manufacturing capabilities including tooling, single point diamond turning, rapid prototyping, injection molding, and thin-film optical coating. They also provide clean room assembly of optic and opaque components as well as electro-optical systems. Last year, Empire acquired passive infrared lens fabrication equipment formerly owned by ORAFOL Display Optics, further expanding their ability to serve the optics market.
