Mold Maker
Duties
Provide the necessary tooling skills to the Tool Room/ Repair and Operations departments to achieve optimal levels of safety, quality, productivity, and delivery while assuring internal and external customer satisfaction on both new and existing tooling.
Specific Duties Include:
- Layout, plan and build to EPP standards, class A plastic injection molds.
- Make new parts for existing production molds using hand sketches, blueprints, and cad models.
- Document necessary information for mold maintenance procedures per EPP standards.
- Participate in New Job Start up Meetings to give input to best manufacturing process.
- Understands advanced concepts within professional discipline. Applies knowledge and experience to complex tooling situations.
- Performs independently and uses experience to guide actions and recommends solutions to complex tooling issues.
- Mentors less experienced colleagues. - Support the Company's mission, vision and values in performance of daily activities.
- Recommend incorporation of new technology where feasible and practical.
- Troubleshoot and communicate tooling concerns the customer service, sales, scheduling as well as and upper management team.
- Determine priorities and implement cost reduction projects; maintain detailed documentation as required.
- Support process improvement initiatives and activities throughout the plant.
- Maintain and promote a safe and clean work environment.
Required Skills:
- Strong leadership and Organizational Skills
- A minimum of 5 years Mold Building/ Repair
- Knowledge of tooling and machinery associated with tool/mold building.
- Computer literacy and good knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
- CAD experience (UG, Solid works, Mastercam etc).
- Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced work environment.
- Ability to visualize and comprehend all aspects of a manufacturing equipment and tooling, understand the relationships of factors affecting a given situation, be attentive to detail, and continually seek to improve work processes.

Work Environment: Tool Room
Physical Requirements: Ability to push, pull or lift 50 lbs. when required
Educational Requirement: Journeyman Mold maker with a minimum of Five (5) or more years of hands-on Mold Building experience/ repair experience.
