Cost Estimator (Sales)
Job Description
The Cost Estimator will be responsible for analyzing data, interpreting customer requirements, and generating accurate cost estimates. This is to be done accurately and in a timely manor, with current existing products and services, along with researching potential new vendors and suppliers to ensure cost efficiency while maintaining EPP’s Quality Policy and procedures.
Specific Duties Include:
- Analyze customer requirements and develop accurate and timely cost estimates for existing products and services.
- Leverage knowledge of industry trends and costs to adjust estimates accordingly.
- Monitor cost and budget trends to ensure estimates remain accurate and up-to-date.
- Generate detailed reports on cost estimates and present findings to management.
- Provide technical support to internal and external customers.
- Maintain accurate records of cost estimates and ensure accuracy of data.
- Maintain positive relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure availability of resources.
- Research potential new vendors and suppliers to ensure cost efficiency.
Required Skills:
- 3+ years of experience in cost estimating or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Filemaker (preferred).
- Experience in tooling and precision thermoplastic parts
Reports To: Business Development Manager
Work Environment: Office / Desk
Physical Requirements: Minimal Lifting
Educational Requirement: 3+ years minimum experience in injection molding environment
